WhatsApp commands: check and change your agenda without opening the system

Between one appointment and the next, nobody wants to open a system just to find out “who is next?”. WhatsApp commands let the account owner or an administrator talk to ChatSense from their own WhatsApp, writing to the company number, to check the agenda and, if the owner allows it, change it too.

How to turn it on

The admin or owner registers their own mobile (the one on their profile) under Settings → Security → WhatsApp commands. From then on they send commands to ChatSense from their personal WhatsApp, writing to the company number.

What you can check

  • “today’s agenda”, “tomorrow’s agenda” and “this week’s agenda”;
  • “who is next”;
  • “daily summary”.

Checking works from day one, with nothing else to enable.

What you can change, if the owner allows it

Actions that change the agenda come switched off and the owner turns them on in permissions: new patient, book appointment, cancel appointment, reschedule, open agenda (opens a day of service at a location), block day (absence), and pause or resume the agent in a patient’s conversation. You can also repeat a schedule by WhatsApp: the professional gives the location, weekdays, time, frequency and end date, and if a day falls on a holiday the system asks, day by day, whether to skip or keep it.

ChatSense asks short questions, with WhatsApp lists and buttons, shows the location’s free slots and asks for confirmation before saving. By default it notifies the patient: by text within the 24-hour WhatsApp window, and outside it only with a Meta-approved template. Without a template, it tells you it cannot notify. Every change goes into the agenda history.

The second factor: real security

Because the command touches a real agenda, each session asks for the code from an authenticator app (TOTP). Never a code by WhatsApp or SMS. The session lasts 30 minutes, and 3 wrong codes lock it for 30 minutes. Everything is logged.

No artificial intelligence in the middle

For customers, the command does not use artificial intelligence: it is fixed phrases and questions. That makes the behavior predictable, which is what you want from an action that changes patients’ appointments.

Frequently asked questions

Who can use WhatsApp commands?

The account admin and owner, after registering their own mobile under Settings → Security → WhatsApp commands.

Do I need an authenticator?

Yes. Each session asks for the authenticator app (TOTP) code, never a code by WhatsApp or SMS. The session lasts 30 minutes.

Can I only check, without allowing changes?

Yes. Checks work right away, and actions that change the agenda stay off until the owner turns them on in permissions.

Is the patient notified when I reschedule by WhatsApp?

By default, yes: by text within the 24-hour WhatsApp window and, outside it, only with a Meta-approved template. If there is no template, ChatSense tells you it cannot notify.
